About
Welcome to my latest culinary exploration, where I take you through the delightful offerings of Alan's Marketplace. Nestled at 27 Columbus Ave, New York, NY 10023, this cozy deli is a treasure trove of flavors, perfect for breakfast, lunch, and everything in between.
Alan's Marketplace brilliantly combines convenience with hearty, satisfying meals. The first thing that grabs you is their breakfast delights. For just $2.29, you can savor two eggs on a roll—crafted any way you like. Add some crispy bacon, and it's just $2.99. It’s comfort food that caters to your morning cravings without breaking the bank.
What truly stands out is the deli's sandwiches. As one satisfied customer, Ariel R, points out, these sandwiches deliver an impressive amount of filling goodness for around $8. The generosity in portion often transforms a regular lunch into a feast. The “Turkey and Brie with Sundried Tomatoes” mentioned by Meg Tsuruda exemplifies their willingness to elevate the sandwich game beyond mere basics.
In addition to the sandwiches, Alan's Marketplace offers gourmet salads that are both fresh and filling. Options like the Cajun Chicken and Shrimp Regency are perfect for a light yet satisfying meal, especially during busy weekday lunches where patrons often compliment the fast service. It's no surprise that lunchtime can get crowded, as Elliott notes, but the efficient staff keeps the line moving smoothly.
If you're seeking a cozy spot for a bagel and lox, Alan's Marketplace has that too. Iris M Mar raved about her experience and suggests this deli is a must-visit for its varied breakfast options and essentials. With unassuming charm and a few cluttered corners, this deli feels like a beloved local hideout that communities can rally around.
In conclusion, Alan's Marketplace is more than just a typical deli; it's a sanctuary for food lovers of all ages. From tempting breakfasts to generous sandwiches and refreshing salads, this spot proves that great food doesn't need to come with a hefty price tag. So the next time you find yourself wandering the streets of Manhattan, be sure to stop by and indulge in the delicious offerings at Alan's Marketplace.

“ If youre reading this, get one of their special sandwiches. Youll pay about 8 for a huge, delicious sandwich filled with meat andor veggies. Better deal than damn near any cart nearby, and definitely a better deal than any dinner or deli nearby. Their bottled and canned drinks are a bit of a rip off, though. Youre welcome! ”
“ The sandwiches are nicely stacked, the salads are also filling at a good price 6.95 each. Lunch time is crowded, needs to reconfigure the layout so the register can move faster, good thing the staff is fast. In summer I buy my beach food there. ”
“ I had the best bagel and lox at this place would 100 recommend as well as their scones. Didnt try the sandwiches but will be coming back if we visit again. Lots of options and essentials. ”
“ Great tasting food at a great price. The store is rather small and cramped though. ”
“ A pretty standard shop with an assortment of snacks and drinks. I usually go for their sandwiches, which are great for their taste and value. With their student discount, its about 6 for a huge sandwich. I can easily eat it for two small meals. For a little independent deli, they have some some menu items that really go beyond your standard sandwiches. One of my favorites is the turkey and brie with sundried tomatoes. ”
“ Great value sandwiches and salads to go. Popular local spot. Hope theyll be around for a long time. ”
“ Ok.. I dont usually say turkey is the best fowl but the hot turkey sandwich here is something to behold. Quick and friendly service. That sandwich.. so good. Italian is also delicious but careful with the vinegar, the bread starts to fall apart. They also have a variety of drinks and goodies. ”
“ Much better prices than delis in Midtown I routinely paid around 10 for a sandwich, chips, and drink, which is pretty good in inflationera Manhattan. They always gave me good portions for my egg salad sandwich, and the staff was nice. ”
